This was a very goofy stage, to say the least. (Also, you don't need a dash in outdated) The secret exit level itself was really well made, with quite a few different sorts of enemies and uses for such enemies.
Secondly, the way the rooms are projected and all of the mini challenges in between them are incredible.Īnd lastly, the secret exit is just mind blowing, it's looks ripped straight from your first hack in this series! The aesthetics are pretty basic, would be cool to see some sort of wind or parallax clouds in here, maybe a bit of a misty effect of sorts.įirstly, the layout of the level is quite confusing, but it isn't confusing in a bad way. They feel more like one-off challenges, which isn't necessarily bad, but seeing more setups with them would be nice. I love how this level plays at the beginning, but near the end it went a bit unfocused, with some gimmicks introduced but not fulfilled upon, like the red spike balls, and the para-spike. Spikes! A lot of them, and one is even flying! Honestly, I'd love to see a whole candy themed world, seems like a very fun theme to work around. I was smiling the whole time while playing this level, it was so fun and the design of suited the song really well. The song is really funny and the visuals are amazing. Want a totally different experience from the previous level? Well, here is Katie's Candies! Kinda weird that the ON/OFF mechanic was ever used once, I'd love to see some setups with that mechanic in mind, because as of now, it's just platforms and saws.Īlso noticed in this level that when you spin jump while the green saws play the sfx, the spin jump sfx will sound really weird.Īnd yeah, that's pretty much what I had to say about the level. The name says it all, a simple athletic level with semi-speedy autoscroll. Not a huge deal but can be a bit confusing. The foreground I'd say is fine, but the background is a bit too "real".Īlso, on the overworld, there are barely trees near this stage, in fact, there isn't any, there are just pillars here. Well they looks awesome but i feel like they deviate a bit too much from this hack's style. This piranha plant thing appears for a split second when revealing the level. The background turns into brown flames when the message is on screen, but then turns back into normal after the message closes. I think this level could use a bit more regular spinies and maybe a few more lakitus, but other than that, it's a great level. I love the gimmick of jumping spiny eggs(?) we are entering new territory here bros, let's begin! Working on Adventure 1 remastered and over less important stuff. Welp, thats everything! Have fun, don't die!
#Super mario 3d world secret exits series
And I'd like to know, do you think Super Mario Adventure 3 (so far) is better Super Mario Adventure 2? I wanna make sure the final game in the series is the best one. This can also be seen in the World's Ghost House. Due to gems being scattered and not at there resting place, the game is starting to take effect. World 6's painting is a garbled mess, there's a reason to this. You can Boos with Shell, turn blocks, and goombas. Things that you would think would be bugs, but are not. In levels with foreground wave effects, you see a glitchy mess takes up half the screen when loading into the room. This is probably why Yoshi can't eat them in the US Version. You can still kill Dolphins with shells and goombas. Add Luigi coins to levels that were missing some. Addition of HMDA gradient to levels that lacked. You need to press Select to save the game on the Overworld. Koopa shells no longer crash the game when kicked into a Luigi Coin.
